Kamarajar Mani Mandapam:

Kamarajar Mani Mandapam is situated near Gandhi mandapam. Kamarajar Manimandapam (Kamaraj Manimandapam) was built as a tribute to Sri Kumarasami Kamarajar, a freedom fighter and a veteran political leader of Tamil Nadu.

Sri Kamarajar was popularly known as ‘Black Gandhi’ & 'King Maker' among the masses. He played a vital role in the political history of India. He was the President of the Indian National Congress before independence. Post independence, Sri Kamarajar became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The monument is built on the same site where his ashes were kept for the public to pay homage before immersion.
